We are honored to share that Aquagga has been recognized as one of the 10 Top Innovators in the Tackling Water Pollution Challenge by UpLink, the World Economic Forum’s innovative platform. UpLink’s mission is to accelerate solutions that drive systemic change for people and the planet, and this challenge specifically focuses on addressing critical water pollution issues. Aquagga was selected for our hydrothermal alkaline treatment (HALT) technology, which offers a scalable, effective solution to permanently destroy PFAS, some of the most persistent and harmful contaminants of our time. According to the World Economic Forum, “increasing the deployment of innovations to address water pollution challenges offers co-benefits to improve public health while spurring economic growth and increased labor demand.”
The Tackling Water Pollution Challenge recognizes solutions that address the growing need to mitigate pollution at its source, ensure access to clean water, and protect ecosystems. Aquagga’s inclusion highlights the critical role of innovative technologies like HALT in advancing these goals. Check out the video below to see the 2025 cohort of Top Innovators.
Water pollution is both an environmental issue and a public health challenge. Recognition from the World Economic Forum reinforces the urgency of addressing contaminants like PFAS and highlights the importance of scaling solutions that deliver results.
This milestone is a testament to the collective efforts of our team and partners. Our collaborations with academic institutions, government and state agencies, and industrial partnerships have been key to advancing and deploying the HALT technology. We are committed to continuing these efforts to address the pressing challenges of water pollution.
We are proud to be part of this initiative and look forward to driving meaningful progress toward cleaner water systems and safer communities.
